Editorial Policy
Sourcing
Numbers, rules, rates and deadlines come from primary sources: regulators, tax authorities, company filings, published rate tables and the terms of the products themselves. Every article ends with the list. If we could not source a figure, it does not appear.
Composite stories
Some articles follow a person through a situation. Where that person is a composite drawn from reported cases rather than a single named individual, a disclosure appears above the first paragraph. We never present an invented person as a real, named one, and we do not use real private individuals' circumstances without their agreement.
Use of AI tools
We use AI tools to help draft and structure articles. Nothing reaches the site without a person reading it, checking the figures against the listed sources and taking responsibility for it. The named author is accountable for what appears under their byline.
Advertising and independence
Advertising is sold and served programmatically. Advertisers have no say in what we cover or how we cover it, and no advertiser sees an article before it is published. Where an article mentions a product we may earn from, we say so in the article.
Not advice
Everything here is general information. It is not financial, legal, tax or insurance advice, and your circumstances will differ. Talk to a qualified professional before acting on anything you read.
